How You Can Help : Plan a Gift or Bequest
How Others Have Given
We thank all of our planned-gift donors for their generous support.
Here are some of their stories.

Money at Work

"Dr. Louis Diamond saved my life as a child," says Susanna Berger. Years later, living in New York, Susanna and her husband, Jason, again turned to Children's when their son became sick.

To show their appreciation, the Bergers now donate to the hospital through a planned gift.

Planned gifts — including bequests, trusts, and gift annuities — may save you taxes, increase your spendable income, preserve your assets and allow you the use of your gift throughout your lifetime — all while helping Children's.

The Bergers give through gift annuities, an agreement whereby donors can make a contribution in exchange for Children's promise to pay one or two individuals a fixed income for life. "Gift annuities work for everyone," Susanna says. "You have the joy of watching that money work, and you don't have to be a multimillionaire to do it. From a personal point of view, it gives you income. It's good all the way around."
